[Alice shares many of the physical traits associated with vampires, such as inhuman beauty, pale skin, golden eyes (which deepen to black depending as thirst increases) and deep purple shadows under her eyes. She is petite, the shortest of the Cullens at 5 ft. 3", though she doesn't mind it that much, because the fact that she's short is more or less an advantage for her, because it adds to her 'adorable-ness' and helps her get away with more or less anything. Not that she wouldn't get away with it anyway - but its just an advantage.
"Thin in the extreme", with small, "pixie-like" features. Her hair is cropped short, spiky, and black. She moves gracefully, continually cited as dancing, with a carriage that would "break any ballerina's heart". Alice has enhanced strength and speed due to her vampire status. Though petite, she is a capable fighter because of her agility, speed and ability to see the future.]
[Alice's early history is very vague, as she remembers nothing of her human life and woke up as a vampire, all alone. It is eventually revealed that she was born around 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi and was kept in an asylum because she had premonitions, which intensified into her "special ability" when she was changed into a vampire. While at the asylum she was kept always in a dark cell, which was another reason why she remembered so little.
Alice was changed by an old vampire who worked at the asylum (and did not survive) in order to protect her from James, a tracker vampire who was hunting her. After doing some research, Alice found her grave and discovered that the date on her tombstone matched the date of her admission to the asylum (she had stolen her file from their records), perhaps implying that she was 'dead' to her family when they confined her there. Through her research she additionally discovered that she had a little sister named Cynthia, and that Cynthia's daughter, Alice's niece, is still alive in Biloxi.
After being turned into a vampire, Alice had a preminition about the Cullens. That they could possibly be her future family. She'd also had a preminition about Jasper Hale. Alice foresaw Jasper Hale finding her in a vision before he even knew he was looking for her. They met face-to-face in a diner located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she told him that she had been waiting a long time for his arrival.
A little bewildered but intrigued with her knowing him, Jasper "bowed his head like a good southern gentleman" and answered, "I'm sorry, ma'am." She offered him her hand, a non-verbal question of whether or not he would like to go with her. He did indeed take her hand, as the sight of it brought him hope "for the first time in almost a century". During their companionship and travels, Alice and Jasper fell in love. By 1950, they found Carlisle with more assistance from her visions and have been part of his coven family ever since.]
[Alice is someone who's more or less always bubbly and optimistic. She often ignores other people's advice and does things her own way, - her own way at times, is not something that others would agree to, and at that point of time, lies become her best friend though the lies are often forgiven due to the fact that, her ways usually result in the outcome being better than predicted.
She has vicarious fun dressing up people "like three-dimensional paper dolls" and throwing parties, and loves shopping at expensive shops in large malls. Alice needs everything around her to be perfect. And usually when in stress, she restorts to giving the place or people or her a makeover. That may not be what the people actually want, but by the end of it, they do thank her for it.
The premonitions that Alice experienced as a human are intensified in her vampire life, and she uses this ability to her advantage in order to keep her family safe. However, Alice's sight is limited: she can only see the outcome of a decision once it is made. Also, the future is subjective and Alice cannot see it once werewolves become involved. This is a mystery that Carlisle has theorized is due to the unpredictability of the werewolves, who, in the split second while they phase, don't technically "exist". Though Alice theorises, that it's just because she herself is not that specie, she cant see their future. She sees vampires because she is one, and can see humans "okay" because she was one.
She is very protective over Jasper and makes sure he keeps in line.]
Alice sighed as she glided from the commonroom door towards the couches by the fire. The fire was on, but it still made no differance to Alice - she didn't feel cold. And the fire didn't make her feel hot either. She rolled her eyes as she looked around herself. There was a small table near the corner of the room, with food there. Even though one didn't need to eat, they couldn't help but think about how it would taste.
Alice looked at the food hungrily, she could remember nothing about her past - and that included the taste of food. Alice bit her lip, this really wasn't fair. It wasn't exactly making her hungry, but the bag of double chocolate chip cookies did make her feel like she was missing out on something nice. Even if it would taste horrible to her - being human and eating their variety of food had got to be nice.
Alice looked away from the table, getting a better around the commonroom. It was so empty. So plain. She shook her head at the place. It could not remain this plain. Didn't people here have any taste of style?. Alice jumped up from her chair, and pranced up the stairs towards the girls dorm, appearing a second later with a huge bag full of room accessories.
"How did I know I would be needing this?" And before a normal human could blink, Alice had gotten down to work. She'd wrapped herself in an apron, and grabbed a paintbrush, with a pleasant shade of Violet in a tub by her side. The place was covered in plain wite paint. That just didn't work with Alice. She splashed the brush into the bucket and began painting - keeping the speed normal - she wanted to enjoy it.
